Position Responsibilities
Demonstrates behavior expected of a professional member of the organization, including but not limited to:

  •  Account department support
  • Supports promo med ed account team
  • Schedules and prepares materials for internal meetings and presentations
  • Sets up and hosts conference calls and GoToMeetings
  • Documents client contacts (via e-mail), requests (change orders), and meetings (contact reports) concisely and accurately
  • Orders references and keeps highlighted and clean references organized within their respective job folders; works with finance to ensure each reference is coded properly
  • Ensures jobs are routing properly (will own 1-2 small projects under the supervision of Account Executive)
  • Performs research as directed by supervisor and other Account Services staff
  • Presents on a topic decided by supervisor and intern at end of internship
  • Project management
  • Opens and closes jobs
  • Maintains status report, including timelines and financials (client and internal budget trackers and invoices)
  • Works with account team and finance to ensure out of pocket expenses (mail, references, etc) are assigned to the correct jobs
  • Maintains electronic job folders based on established procedures on server and on ShareFile
  • Handles mail, delivery, and pickup tasks as necessary for account team
  • Prepares materials for presentations
  • Participates in other activities
  • Performs other tasks as delegated by account team
  • Performs other job duties as assigned
  • Cross trains in other positions as requested
  • Willing to work extra hours to meet impending deadlines


Position Requirements


Working towards Bachelor’s degree preferably in marketing or communications

Would consider science degree as well (eg. biology or nursing)


Previous agency internship not mandatory

Demonstrated leadership experience/potential

College leadership experience (student government, RA, newspaper, yearbook etc.)

Interest in marketing and healthcare communications


Must be available 40 hours per week, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Must be available for the entire 12-week program from May 14th to August 3rd


Please note: we do not offer housing support for interns.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent research/data entry skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Superior oral and written communications skills
• Ability to manage numerous projects, requests, and responsibilities
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
• Ability to be proactive and anticipate team needs
• Ability to be creative and apply marketing principles to team projects
